Our Second Annual Author Fest promises to be a great party for all, with door prizes, entertainment, and fine wine. The Two Rivers Winery & Chateau has graciously donated their beautiful events facility for the event, which runs from 1:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, and will have a wine bar available after 4:00 p.m.
Author Fest was a very nice affair, and took place in a beautiful setting (the Chateau at Two Rivers Winery on the Redlands),but the turnout was disappointing, especially considering the amount of ads and other publicity we had. In discussions during subsequent Page Peddlers meetings, it was concluded that we need to go to the public rather than try to get it to come to us, and we need to start planning the next Author Fest well in advance. Scattering authors with their books throughout Mesa Mall would be the ideal situation. We will investigate that idea and others.
